"A blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah and Grenache, aged eight months in 30% new French oak, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Red Blend 8 Years in the Desert bursts forth with blackberry pie, warm cassis, licorice and raspberry pie with touches of tree bark, garrigue and potpourri. Full-bodied, rich and jam-packed with opulent berry preserves and exotic spice layers, it has a velvety texture and wonderful freshness, finishing very long. 39,400 cases produced." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown (31st Jan 2019)

93 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"Also tasted as a barrel sample, the 2016 Maury Sec Serge & Nicolas checks in as a blend of 63% Grenache, 23% Carignan and 14% Syrah, from 35- to 70-year-old vines that had the Grenache brought up all in tank and the Syrah and Carignan in demi-muids. Notes of strawberries, spice-box, licorice, violets and dried herbs all emerge from this beauty, and it’s medium-bodied, silky and polished, with beautiful purity, solid mid-palate density and building depth and length. There’s just a little over 1,000 cases and is going to be a smoking value." - Jeb Dunnuck (9/21/2017)

90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Another vibrant colored effort that resembles a barrel sample more than a finished wine, the 160 case 2015 IGP Pays d'Herault La Grenache 8 is 100% Grenache raised in stainless steel. It gives up lots of blackberry, strawberry and floral notes, a distinct jammy fruit character, medium to full-bodied richness and a juicy, lively, delicious style." - Jeb Dunnuck (28th Apr 2017)

95 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The top wine is the 2014 IGP Cotes Catalanes Pharaon, and it’s a barrel selection that ended up being an even split of Grenache and Syrah that was aged in 75% new French oak. While the cooler, late vintage didn’t favor Grenache, Richard commented that Syrah excelled, hence the larger portion of Syrah in the blend than normal. About as sexy and textured as they come in the vintage, this beautiful 2014 offers lots of crème de cassis, black raspberry, chocolate and peppery nuances to go with a full-bodied, luxuriously textured, hedonistic slant on the palate. Despite the ripeness level, it stays fresh and lively, with notable underlying structure. Hats off to the team here. This beauty will cruise for another decade." - Jeb Dunnuck (27th Apr 2016)

95 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Rocking stuff, the 2015 Côtes Catalanes Grenache D66 (80% Grenache and 20% Grenache Blanc) from Richard Floyd boasts a deep, saturated color as well as hedonistic notes of black currants, chocolate, massive crushed rock-like minerality and baking spices. Rich, full-bodied, unctuous and concentrated, yet with considerable purity and freshness, it's a big blockbuster beauty to drink over the coming decade." - 230, The Wine Advocate (28th Apr 2017)

94 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"The 2016 De-La (100% Syrah) is a Côte Rôtie masquerading as a Côtes Catalanes. Sporting a vibrant purple color as well as a beautiful nose of blueberries, black raspberries, violets, game, and exotic flowers, this beauty is medium to full-bodied, incredibly polished and pure, has ultra-fine tannin and a great finish. It’s as classy and elegant as they come and is a sensational expression of Syrah. It will keep for 15+ years. It’s a step up over the 2015 and the finest vintage of this cuvée to date." - Jeb Dunnuck (2/21/2018)

94 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"Almost too good to be true, the 2017 Narassa is based on 82% Grenache and 18% Syrah, with the Grenache coming from the black slate soils of Maury and the Syrah from the higher elevation, sandy, granitic soils of Saint Martin de Fenouillet. Brought up all in used barrels, this full-bodied, deep, meaty Syrah reminds me a top California GSM blend and has a rocking nose of white pepper, black olives, cedarwood, and ample black fruits. At this quality, they could charge three to four times the price. Drink it over the coming 3-4 years." - Jeb Dunnuck (4/3/2019)

90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Already in bottle, the 2012 Coteaux du Languedoc Terrasses du Larzac Les Obriers offers fabulous Cinsault character and shows how interesting this variety can be when done right. Incredibly floral and perfumed, with sweet blackberry, violets, lilacs and exotic spices, this medium-bodied, elegant and silky effort builds on the palate, shows notable freshness and a pure, hard-to-resist feel. I’d drink it over the coming 4-5 years, but it will evolve for longer." - Jeb Dunnuck (Apr 2014)

"Bigger and richer, with more black fruits, ground pepper, forest floor and resinous scrub brush, the 2011 Coteaux du Languedoc Terrasses du Larzac Les Obriers (65% Cinsault, 35% Carignan) is medium-bodied, layered and textured on the palate, with a terrific finish. The 2012 Coteaux du Languedoc Terrasses du Larzac La Peira is similar in style, with lively and fresh cassis, black raspberry, graphite, licorice and cedar notes flowing to a medium to full-bodied, profile on the palate. Pure, focused and nicely concentrated, enjoy it over the coming 10-12 years." - JD (4/2014)
