92 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"Managed by Caroline Frey (of Paul Jaboulet Aîné in the Rhône Valley), the 2015 Château La Lagune is an impressive, elegant, concentrated Haut Médoc that’s going to be even better with short-term cellaring. Cassis, toasty oak, Asian spices, and black tea notes all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, layered and lengthy Haut-Médoc. Count me in as a fan and it’s up with the top wines produced from this estate. " - Jeb Dunnuck (11/30/2017)

90 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"This ripe, fruity wine is developing a fine balance between fruit and structure. Its black currant flavors are bright, juicy and crisp, sustained by a core of dryness and delicious acidity. It will benefit from another year of age, so wait until late 2018 before drinking." - Roger Voss (12/31/2017)

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"This is the northernmost of the many properties owned by major Bordeaux personality, Bernard Magrez. It shares the same richness as many of the wines produced under his name while also having a light touch of acidity and black-currant crispness. With the ability to age, it will be ready from 2023. Roger Voss" - (5/1/2018)

"This wine has plenty of structure, showing firm, rough tannins with some extraction bitterness. Light fruit flavors are offered further levity from bright acidity." - Roger Voss (3/1/2015)

87-90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2006 vintage):
"There are 5,000 cases of the reasonably priced 2006 Cuvee Numero 2. A classic Bordeaux, it exhibits a deep ruby/purple hue along with sweet aromas of black currants infused with tobacco leaf, loamy, earthy undertones, spice box, and cedar. With sweet, noble tannin, medium to full body, and outstanding concentration, but less sucrosite than the Cuvee Numero 1 (the vintage’s raw materials do not provide the heft and weight of the 2005), it should drink well for 10-15 years.
