92 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"The 2016 Château de Fonbel from the team at Ausone is a brilliant Saint-Emilion in 2016. Tons of black raspberry and cassis fruits, notes of spice, and dried flowers, medium body, and a balanced, elegant texture all make for beautiful wine. It has the purity of elegance of the vintage front and center, and while it’s already hard to resist, it’s got 15 years of prime drinking ahead of it." - Jeb Dunnuck (2/28/2019)

90 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"The 2014 Haut-Segottes is one of the under-the-radar jewels of the year. Silky and nuanced in the glass, but with striking depth, the 2014 exudes class. Dark red cherry, plum, spice and new leather are all nicely pushed forward. The tannins are a bit firmer than I recall seeing from barrel. I tasted the 2014 from a half-bottle sample, which is about the worst and least flattering way for an estate to show a wine. The blend is 60 % Merlot and 40 % Cabernet Franc. Hubert de Boüard is the consulting winemaker." - Antonio Galloni (Feb 2017)

90 Points - James Suckling:
"A wine with fine tannins and a silky texture. Medium body, a dense center-palate and a clean, mineral, berry aftertaste. New, second wine from Château Canon. Better in 2017." - (February 23, 2015)

Tender, silky and perfectly balanced palate and length, on cherries, toasted and dark coffee notes, all in perfect harmony.
Full-bodied and viscous.

96 Points - James Suckling:
"Aromas of nuts, spices, chocolate powder, then changes to fruits and flowers. Fascinating. Full body, with silky tannins and a wonderful intensity and super polished tannins with a long, long finish. Super refined. Best Canon in years. Try in 2016." - (Friday, March 2, 2012)

Chateau Le Tertre Roteboeuf Saint Emilion 2004 (Bordeaux, France) [LIBRARY WINE] - [AG 90]
Chateau Le Tertre Roteboeuf Saint Emilion 2004 (Bordeaux, France) [LIBRARY WINE] - [AG 90]
Retail Price: $249.99

Deep ruby-red. Black raspberry, minerals and smoked meat on the nose. Lush and sweet but in a reserved style; an extremely idiosyncratic wine that combines an almost syrah-like liqueur quality and very fresh acids that accentuate the wine's fruit. -Stephen Tanzer

95 Points & #16 Top 100 Wines of 2018 - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"A rich, expressive, slightly showy style, with waves of cassis, creamed raspberry and boysenberry fruit racing forth, backed by a polished yet ample structure. The long, licorice- and ganache-framed finish packs on weight as it moves along, yet stays defined and pure. Impressive. Best from 2022 through 2040. 9,333 cases made"- JM (Mar 2018)
