92-93 Points - James Suckling:
"Super plush, opulent, sweet red-plum, raspberry-compote and darker blackberry notes. The palate is bathed in mixed-berry flavor and some dark-mineral notes. Really supple, then turning fine and tightening through the finish. Noble tannins. 80 per cent grenache and 20 per cent syrah." - (6 Jul, 2018)

About This Wine:
Expression of a family and a terroir grown with love and care, Gran Partita embodies the Coulon family history, winegrowers in Châteauneuf-du-pape for 8 generations. Playing Gran Partita is recreating the unique alchemy of the thirteen-grape-varieties symphony. Such as Mozart thirteen wind instruments, each grape-variety brings its personality and definition of terroir to the blend. Union between old vines and their descendants carefully selected, Gran Partita is a link between generations, making each of them eternal. 91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2014 Costières de Nîmes Nostre Païs is another winner. Made from 52% Grenache Blanc, 22% Roussanne, 17% Viognier and the balance Clairette and Bourboulenc, it exhibits outstanding notes of citrus blossom, white flowers, licorice and green apple. Medium-bodied, fresh, pretty and focused, it should be better in the next four to six months (probably by the time you read this) and drink well for 1-2 years." - Jeb Dunnuck (3rd Mar 2016)

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Fresh, vibrant black-cherry and plum flavors are edged by streaks of earth and mineral in this brisk, concentrated wine. The Grenache-dominant blend is augmented by darker tones of Syrah and Mourvèdre. Bold in black-fruit flavor, it's also nuanced. Firm, finely edged tannins linger on the finish. Enjoy now–2026." - Anna Lee C. Iijima (3/1/2019)

96 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"This delivers a lush, enticing blast of cassis and raspberry and boysenberry preserve flavors, carried by a silky structure that lets the fruit play out at length, giving adequate time for black tea, singed apple wood, dried anise and fruitcake notes to fill in throughout. Dreamy. Grenache. Best from 2020 through 2040. 600 cases made." - JM (February 2018)

94 Points & "Highly Recommended" - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Intense, with fig, blackberry and plum compote flavors rolling over one another, while worn leather, Turkish coffee and well-roasted mesquite notes form a ring around them. Overall this is rich and dense, yet there's definition throughout. Only needs time to knit fully before delivering its peak experience. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Best from 2020 through 2035. 3,000 cases made." – JM (Feb 28, 2018)

Notes from the Winemaker:
Beautiful dark red robe. Plum fruit and blackberries combine on the nose, licorice and a little dark spice. It reveals garrigue, local attributes, herbs. The palate content is compressed, and isn’t yet on an open stage. There is spicing, a flavor of prunes, some still grippy tannins. It has the structure to evolve into a second stage, and is a table wine with local grounding, a sense of place. The finish is still firm. The aftertaste is spicy.

93 Points & Cellar Selection - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Delicate whiffs of spice, vanilla and toast persist from nose to finish in this lavish but well-balanced wine. It's full bodied and silky, with concentrated fresh apple and yellow plum flavors. Fresh acidity and savory hints of smoked nuts and dried herbs lend elegance as it persists. Hold until 2022." - Anna Lee C. Iijima (7/1/2018)

94 Points - Decanter Magazine:
"A gorgeous Grenache expression on the nose, from a parcel of 70 year old vines, showing herbal, plum and strawberry aromas, enveloping and inviting. The Syrah adds structure and bite on the medium to full-bodied palate. It has a lovely quality of ripe tannins, good acidity and freshness, with a very long finish. An absolute winner this year." - Matt Walls (Oct 8, 2017)
