97-99 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"Brought up in new demi-muids, the 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes is a blend of 90% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre (the Mourvèdre is from the Cristia lieu-dit). Unquestionably the greatest vintage of this cuvée ever made, this crazy good 2016 knocks it out of the park with its huge nose of currants, seaweed, incense, garrigue, and chocolate. Just a massive, deep, powerful wine, with sweet tannin and remarkable purity, it’s going to flirt with perfection and keep for 20-25 years. Bravo to the Maret family as well as consultant Philippe Cambie!" - Jeb Dunnuck (8/28/2018)

"The 2017 Cotes du Rhone Blanc is a beauty, with a ripe, slightly honeyed, white peach, and apple blossom bouquet as well as a rounded, supple, beautifully textured style on the palate. It’s well worth drinking and should keep for 2-3 years." - Jeb Dunnuck (12/13/2018)

93 Points - Stephen Tanzer:
"Bright ruby. Sexy, mineral-laced aromas of fresh red berries and potpourri, with a smoky element emerging slowly. Juicy and precise on the palate, with sweet raspberry and cherry flavors that put on weight with air. Fine-grained tannins give shape to the fruit-driven finish, which hangs on with real tenacity." - Josh Raynolds (February 2015)

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Most people don’t know it, but Saint Cosme’s Louis Barruol makes a terrific white wine from his estate in Gigondas, and that winemaking talent carries over to his release from Condrieu. His 2015 Condrieu is a beautifully perfumed, richly textured, pure and classic white that offers abundant notes of tangerines, flower oil and buttered citrus. It has juicy acidity and a great finish, and will drink nicely for 3-5 years." - Jeb Dunnuck (Dec 2016)

(93-95) Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Looking at his traditional cuvee, the 2012 Chateauneuf du Pape (a blend of mostly Grenache) is a thick, massive effort that got a big “wow!” in the notes. Showing spectacular aromas and flavors of raspberry, spice, licorice and Provencal herbs, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, layers of sweet tannin and fantastic mid-palate depth. Fruit loaded and a hedonistic dream, it should dish out tons of pleasure over the coming decade. Drink 2014-2023." -Jeb Dunnuck (Oct 2013)

90 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
"Bright ruby-red. Black raspberry, licorice and smoky herbs on the perfumed nose and in the mouth. Fresh and energetic, with good focus and a spicy quality that builds with aeration. Closes sweet and long, with an echo of candied anise and smooth, harmonious tannins adding shape." - Josh Raynolds (Jan/Feb 2014)

(91-94) Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Tasted out of barrel, the 2012 Cuvee Sixtine Chateauneuf du Pape (same blend and elevage as the 2011) shows the purity and freshness of the vintage. Offering up plenty of blackberry, licorice, toast and roasted meat like qualities, it has medium to full-bodied richness, a dense, concentrated feel and ripe tannin. Perfectly balanced, it should benefit from short-term cellaring and have 12-15 years of total longevity. Drink 2016-2024." -Jeb Dunnuck (Oct 2013)

94 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"The 80% Grenache content of this wine gives it a girth and an opulence that may not suit everyone, but surely makes it an impressive example of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Just to smell it is to bathe in garrigue- and chocolate-tinged cherry juice, while in the mouth it is huge, lush and creamy in texture. It’s long, picking up additional spice notes on the finish. Drink now–2025." -Joe Czerwinski (8/1/2013)
