96 Points & #21 Top 100 Wines of 2019 - Wine Spectator:
"Dark and winey, this is youthfully tight, with a core of intense black cherry and black currant preserves, encased within layers of olive, singed alder, juniper and iron. Very focused and driven through the finish. Cellar for maximum effect. Best from 2022 through 2038. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 23,333 cases made, 700 cases imported." - JM (Nov 15, 2019)

98 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Even better than last year, the recently bottled 2017 Cote Rotie La Cote Blonde was singing when I tasted it back in July. Floral and berry notes accent mocha-tinged aromas in this medium to full-bodied wine. It's silky, long and intense, with a couple of decades of life ahead of it. It's simply difficult to describe the waves of savory complexity this wine now shows, coupled with a succulent texture and tremendous length." - Joe Czerwinski (19th Dec 2019)

97+ Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"I loved the 2017 Côte Rôtie La Landonne, a magical expression of the Grand Cru terroir. Deep purple-hued with killer notes of black raspberries, bacon fat, ground herbs, and obvious minerality, this beauty is full-bodied, has ultra-fine tannins, a deep, concentrated mid-palate, and a finish that won’t quit. Do your best to hold bottles for 4-5 years." - Jeb Dunnuck (12/12/2019)

92-94 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"Dark purple. Aromas of black and blue fruit preserves, sandalwood, olive and pungent flowers carry a bright, peppery overtone. Shows excellent focus and lift to the ripe black raspberry, boysenberry and violet pastille flavors, which are given spine by a core of juicy acidity. Closes smooth, subtly sweet and very long, with subtle, fine-grained tannins coming in late." - Josh Raynolds (Jun 2018)

"This lets a core of warm plum sauce, dark loganberry and singed anise flavors ooze out, while violet, white pepper, bay leaf and dark olive notes provide the frame. A mouthwatering mineral edge weaves throughout. Best from 2020 through 2035. -JM (Oct 2018)

94 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"The 2016 Saint Joseph François De Tournon comes from more schist and gneiss soils and spent 10-14 months in mostly used barrels, with a small part in tank to preserve more freshness. It's another ruby/purple-colored effort from this estate and gives up lots of blackberry and blueberry fruits intermixed with earthy minerality, ground pepper, and hints of damp earth. Rich, layered, and textured, it will be better in a year or two and keep for 8-10, if not longer." (Dec 2018)

"This is loaded with well-defined loganberry, blackberry and boysenberry pâte de fruit flavors, flecked with anise and black tea notes and carried by a fine iron streak that lingers wonderfully. A wine of cut, purity and precision. Best from 2020 through 2035. 2,744 cases made." - JM (Nov 2018)

96 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"The 2016 Hermitage Domaine Des Tourettes Blanc is a total blockbuster and almost matches what was achieved in 2015! Coming from the bottom part of the Les Bessards lieu-dit and from the Les Grandes Vignes lieu-dit at the highest point on the hill, it’s 100% Marsanne brought up all in 30% new barrel. Killer notes of apple blossom, buttered citrus, and orange blossom all soar from the glass of this rich, powerful Hermitage Blanc that has a red wine-like structure, a huge mid-palate, and a great finish. It shows the fresher style preferred by this estate, has terrific purity, and will keep for 2+ decades." (1/24/2018)

92-94 Points - Vinous:
"Inky ruby. Powerfully scented red and blue fruit liqueur aromas are complicated by suggestions of candied licorice, pungent flowers and cracked pepper. Sweet and expansive on the palate, offering densely packed dark berry and cherry cola flavors and a touch of smoky minerality that adds vibrancy and cut. At once rich and graceful, finishing with powerful dark fruit punch and dusty, slow-building tannins. " Josh Raynolds - (Mar 2016)

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Even better than the Champelrose is the 2013 Cornas Sabarotte, which comes from the estate’s 1.5 hectare in the la Sabarotte lieu-dit, which lies just across the valley (and a little to the south) of the Reynard lieu-dit. This is prime terroir composed of pure granite soils. Seeing a long four-week maceration, it sees malolactic in barrel and spends 16 months in new French oak barrels (which is rare in Cornas). Despite the aging, you wouldn't know it by tasting the wine as it offers sensational notes of black and blue fruits, caramelized meats, crushed rock and pepper, with almost no noticeable oak. Full-bodied, forward, beautifully textured and layered, it’s a huge success in the vintage and is a gorgeous wine that savvy readers should snatch up. It will have 15 or more years of overall longevity." - Jeb Dunnuck (Dec 2015)
