93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2014 Brunello di Montalcino definitely shows the more accessible and easy-drinking side of this celebrated Sangiovese-based appellation in southern Tuscany. The wine offers all the prerequisite Brunello characteristics of wild berry and tobacco with pressed violets and fresh potting soil. However, those characteristics are presented at a notch or two of decreased intensity. This is quality common to the great majority of Brunellos I tasted from the 2014 vintage. I recommend this wine to lovers of Brunello looking for a wine to drink within the next ten years. Some 15,037 bottles were made." - Monica Larner (31st Jan 2019)

97 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2013 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a tremendous wine that delivers a deep sense of inner gravity and balance. That, in a nutshell, is the secret of the top-end wines made at the exciting Canalicchio di Sopra estate. The wines made here always exhibit carefully measured balance in the classic vintages (like 2013) and in the difficult years as well. That extreme balance is exactly why you taste the vintage variation with such distinction. This expression from 2013 is remarkably smooth and silky with a steady succession of traditional Sangiovese aromas that span from wild berry, forest floor, wet earth, pressed flower and hints of tangy licorice or aniseed. This is a mid-weight Brunello that glides over the palate with precise, delicate and long lasting waves of intensity. Some 3,185 bottles, 174 magnums and 30 double magnums were made." - Monica Larner (31st Jan 2019)

93 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Subtle aromas of cedar, cassis, tobacco and a whiff of camphor slowly take shape in the glass. A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, the tightly knit, elegant palate delivers dried black cherry, red currant, blood orange and licorice while fine-grained tannins provide tight support. It closes on a coffee-bean note." - Kerin O’Keefe (5/1/2019)

Antinori Toscana "Tignanello" IGT 2015 (Tuscany, Italy) [1.5L MAGNUM] - [JS 98] [AG 98] [WS 97, #24 Top 100 of 2018] [RP 96] [WE 95]

98 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"The 2015 Tignanello is a wine of extraordinary finesse. Ample, creamy and voluptuous, the 2015 dazzles from the very first taste. Dark raspberry jam, rose petal mint and wild flowers are some of the many notes that are laced throughout. Intense and explosive, but also remarkable vibrant, the 2015 is one of the finest Tignanellos in recent memory. The 2015 also represents a bit of a shift in winemaking philosophy that favors picking fruit a bit earlier than in the past and also blending earlier than was the case in the previous period spanning 2004-2014, when the components were aged separately and then blended just before bottling. Lastly, at 85% Sangiovese and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 has a bit more Sangiovese than is the norm, which contributes to the wine's freshness and energy." - Antonio Galloni (Feb 2019)

92 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
"($50; equal parts sangiovese, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and syrah) Very dark ruby with a deep purple core. Sultry, almost musky nose, with hints of vanilla and wildflower. Intensely flavored and brooding, with notes of plum jam, cassis, Mediterranean herbs and mint resonating on the palate, followed by graphite and tobacco on the substantial finish. Shows excellent tannic grip. Though surrounded by Bolgheri neighbors who vinify primarily Bordeaux-styled blends, Satta has believed from the start in the quality of sangiovese in this region. His wines certainly uphold this view." - Edward Beltrami (Jul/Aug 2003)

92-93 Points - James Suckling:

Tasting Notes:
Campriano’s Riserva is produced from a wild parcel surrounded by forest, hidden in a small valley in the mountains of the Alta Greve. Dipping your nose into the glass is like inhaling deeply during a fall hike through the Tuscan woods: forest floor, damp earth, mushrooms, game. These characteristics work wonders at a Tuscan table and also develop further complexity with time in your cellar.

94 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"Poliziano's 2014 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Asinone is a deeply intriguing wine. In 2014, the flagship Asinone doesn't have its signature depth, power or concentration, but the wine does not suffer at all from that. If anything, the personality of this cool vintage allows the wine's aromatics to come through very nicely. Sweet herb, tobacco, mint, anise and bright red cherry fruit are all beautifully delineated. The 2014 is perhaps a touch compact, but it makes up for that with its superb persistence. This is a terrific showing from Poliziano." - Antonio Galloni (Apr 2018)
