94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Here's a new wine from Pietradolce that seeks to expand the parameters and potential of age-worthy white wine made on Etna. Most of the whites from the volcano are executed in a purely reductive style with a snappy, steely approach. The 2015 Sant'Andrea (made with pre-phylloxera Carricante vines that are up to 130 years old) offers a soft and oxidized approach instead. This full-bodied wine opens to a saturated, off-gold color. The bouquet is piled high with apricot, dried pineapple, honey and toasted almond. Fruit was selected, cluster by cluster from each vine, and fermented on the skins in a single oak cask. The wine was left to settle naturally and saw 18 months of bottle aging. There is a point of tannic astringency as a result, and you can taste that flavor intensity that comes from extended skin maceration. The finish is structured, dry and almost salty in favor. This wine should continue to evolve and flesh out over the next ten years. Only 1,800 bottles were made." - Monica Larner (28th Dec 2018)

"Love the rich aromas of dried fruits (like dried strawberries). Hints of cedar and sandalwood as well. Full-bodied, layered and tannic with fantastic depth and intensity. "Rovittello from Mt. Etna is an exceptionally harmonious and well-balanced wine with no sharp edges. You'll get sweet spice, clove and cinnamon backed by volcanic ash and smoke. Fruit nuances appear in the mouth thanks to the wine's soft, plush texture. Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio (20%) are aged one year in oak barrique." - (12/1/2009)

"Plump and luscious, this is jam-packed with fruit. Lively blackberry, pepper and other spice box aromas lead to ripe and rich flavors of black raspberry, caramel and licorice. 93+ Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2007 Rosso del Conte is the estate's flagship. After a period of experimentation, Rosso del Conte is now back to being predominantly Nero d'Avola, with a 5% dollop of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It shows marvelous richness and intensity in a slightly cool, reserved style relative to some of the more exuberant vintages. Mint, roasted espresso beans and mocha add complexity to the beautifully delineated, polished fruit. The 2008 is a gorgeous Rosso del Conte, but it needs time. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2028." - Antonio Galloni (Jun 2011)
