92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Hebrart’s NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Disg. 3/2013 showcases fruit from vintage 2009 with 20% of its volume split between 2008 and 2007. Iris and peony, almond and hazelnut dominate the nose, with intimations arising of the oyster liquor and soy that go on to lend mouthwateringly saline savor as well as the apple and winter pear that serve up luscious fruit on a buoyant and polished palate. Given my description thus far, it won’t surprise you to learn that this cuvee’s finish is superbly long and savory. I imagine that it will be worth following for at least several years. Not only does this bottling represent exceptional value by standards of its appellation, it is remarkable for costing so little more than Hebrart's corresponding (far from) “basic” Brut. (By my convention governing suggested retail price quotations, the difference simply gets rounded off!)" - (29th Nov 2013)

92 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"The NV Rosé Brut Grand Cru is another gorgeous Champagne from Paul Bara. Rich, resonant and super-inviting, the Brut Rosé has so much to offer. I especially admire the wine's breadth and expansiveness, both of which give it the versatility to drink beautifully as an aperitif or at the dinner table. The blend is 80% Pinot Noir (including 12% still Pinot) and 20% Chardonnay. Dosage of 8 grams per liter feels a bit on the high side, but this is nevertheless an absolutely joyous Champagne. Disgorged: May 2018." - Antonio Galloni (Nov 2018)

"A creamy version, with ripe black cherry and poached apricot fruit up front, accented by a streak of tangy salinity and notes of toasted brioche and candied lemon peel. Well-balanced, showing a fresh and focused finish. Disgorged December 2018. Drink now through 2029. 130 cases imported." - AN (Web Only - 2019)

96 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:

"Poggio di Sotto doesn't miss a beat with this very special release. This is a glorious expression of the vintage, and the wine has absorbed the golden sunlight of Tuscany, delivering beautifully ripe, round and subtle fruit layers. The 2015 Brunello di Montalcino shows concentration, but not too much, and richness, but not too much. You get the power and the opulence of the vintage presented with the elegance and grace that is the house style at this venerated estate. Poggio di Sotto is one of the benchmarks of Montalcino, and the winery team continues the tradition with this 22,000-bottle release. There's a lot of red fruit energy deep inside that should stir this wine on course as it ages over the next two decades." - Monica Larner (15th Oct 2020)

Blandy's "Alvada" 5 Year Old Madeira (Madeira, Portugal)
Blandy's "Alvada" 5 Year Old Madeira (Madeira, Portugal)
Retail Price: $25.00
Artisan Wine Depot Price: $16.99
You save $8.01!

SIX-PACK PRICE = $15.99 per bottle (add 6+ quantity to your basket)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Made from 50% Bual and 50% Malmsey, the non-vintage Alvada 5-Year-Old has a deep auburn/mahogany color. It has a precise, tightly wound bouquet of molasses, walnut and smoke that unfurls nicely in the glass. The palate is understated on the entry but builds towards a spicy, walnut-tinged finish with a long peppery aftertaste. This serves as a satisfying introduction to Madeira. All the 5-Year-Old Madeira is aged in cask for the requisite period. - Neal Martin (Aug 2012)

98 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"The 2018 Pinot Noir from this great estate is a beauty, and certainly comes close to topping out my scale. Coming all from the estate vineyard in the southern end of the appellation, it reveals a translucent ruby/purple hue as well as a gorgeous bouquet of black raspberries, crushed flowers, spice, violets, and a kiss of wet granite-like minerality. This was a long, even growing season and you see it in the balance, purity of fruit, ripe tannins, and flawless integration of acidity and structure. While it’s supple and forward, my money is on it evolving beautifully for 10-15 years." - Jeb Dunnuck (5/21/2020)

Ratings & Reviews

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2008 vintage):
"The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Oliver’s Blend bursts from the glass with explosive dark red fruit, spices, licorice and tobacco. The 2009 is rich, deep, intensely perfumed and totally seductive. It shows fabulous balance and classiness to match its powerful, intense personality. Flowers, mint and spices reappear to frame the dazzling finish. This is a showstopper from Skipstone and consulting oenologist Philippe Melka. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024." - Antonio Galloni (Dec 2011)
