96 Points - Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine:
"There is a sense of sophistication and well-managed ripeness that seem a constant in the best Cabernets of the vintage, and both are apparent in this complex and very well-crafted wine. A nice splash of sweet oak highlights the very keen curranty fruit in its aromas and continues on as a sympathetic partner to themes of cassis and black cherries in the wine's lengthy and beautifully proportioned flavors. Ageworthy by dint of its balance rather than for forbidding astringency, this is one to hide away for at least a half dozen years and more." (Dec 2010)

98 Points - Vinous Media:
"The 2012 Cristal is another absolutely stellar wine this flight of recent releases. Rich, vinous and beautifully textured, the 2012 has been nothing short of magnificent on the three occasions I have tasted it so far. In the glass, the 2012 is radiant and luscious, yet it possesses remarkable transparency and striking aromatic depth. Light tropical notes develop in the glass, giving the 2012 a real feeling of exotic beauty. The 2012 is the first vintage of Cristal done with 100% organically-farmed fruit, an approach introduced gradually starting with the 2007 that has profoundly changes Cristal, especially in its aromatic breadth. Two thousand twelve is the vintage where endless trials and experiments in farming and winemaking are fully realized. The 2012 is just stunning. It’s as simple as that. Dosage is just over 7 grams per liter, the lowest it has even been for Cristal." - Antonio Galloni (Dec 2019)

96 Points - Decanter Magazine:
"Krug Rosé has come a long way since Henri and Remi rather bashfully introduced it to their father Paul in 1983. Now in its 22nd manifestation - a base of 2010 with reserve wines stretching back to 2005 - the philosophy remains unchanged: the addition of up to 12% red wine from two plots in Ay is key to ensuring power and breadth. Its modest colour flatters to deceive, yet its power is built on restraint and length above all. A wonderful enigma, red currants, patisserie and a steely grip all defer to gastronomic potential. Olivier feels that this would work well with game dishes such as grouse or even venison." - SF (Oct 2018)

98 Points & #26 Top 100 Wines of 2016 - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"A very youthful '95. Delicate. Intense aromas of ginger, citrus, candied berry and multigrain bread turn to honey, roasted almonds and graphite on the palate. It's all underscored by a precise structure and creamy texture. Its structure keeps it persistent through the long finish. A picture of precision and intensity. Drink now through 2025. 1,700 cases imported." — BS (Jul 31, 2006)

98 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The real surprise among Krug’s 1996s is the 1996 Vintage, which is drinking beautifully, even among this rarified air of single-vineyard Champagnes. The 1996 Vintage is explosive and creamy, with just the right balance of power, richness and freshness. The mousse is perhaps just a touch less refined than in the 1996 Clos du Mesnil and Clos d’Ambonnay, but it is also perfectly measured with the wine’s exuberant personality. This multi-dimensional, textured Champagne is at the early part of its drinking window and promises to deliver an incredible drinking experience over the coming decades. The take-away from this flight of 1996s from Krug is simple. Although the 1996 Vintage can’t possibly be described as inexpensive, it shows exceptionally well next to its much more expensive brethren and clearly delivers a similar level of quality. Readers who have the opportunity to pick up this wine should not hesitate. It is a gem. No disgorgement date provided. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2036." - (21st Dec 2009)

95 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Krug's 1998 Brut Vintage is an excellent choice for drinking today, as the classic Krug style is rich, alive and totally vivid. Honey, almonds, smoke, graphite and dried apricots are some of the many aromas and flavors found in this rich, enveloping Champagne. A wine of texture and depth, the 1998 impresses for its vinous personality and terrific balance. Lively veins of underlying acidity suggest the 1998 will drink well for many years to follow. This is one of the best bottles of the 1998 I have ever tasted. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2038." - (30th Oct 2012)
