93 Points - Decanter:
"Leflaive's village Puligny is back as a reference point for the village under new cellarmaster, Pierre Vincent. Aged in 15% new wood, this comes from five different parcels and is tangy, focussed and appealingly stony, with good freshness and palate length. Drinking Window 2020 - 2025" - (27 Oct 2018)

95 Points - Decanter:
"Domaine Leflaive was among the earlier pickers in Puligny in 2017 and it shows in the tautness and balance of wines like this one. Tight and chiselled, with well-integrated 20% new wood, this is all citrus fruit and lemongrass with a racy, tapering finish. Drinking Window 2021 - 2029" - (27 Oct 2018)

92 Points - James Suckling:

"This is always a little denser and richness than many Meursault and right next to Perrières. Full and layered in this year with pretty acidity. But ripe and rich with lots of flavor. So delicious now. Why wait?" - (February 12, 2019)

94-96 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"The 2017 Musigny Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru has a very expressive, complex bouquet, the mélange of red, blue and black fruit making it difficult to identify a single dominant color. Blueberry, wild strawberry and black currant intermingle, and hints of sea spray and touches of orange blossom develop with time. The harmonious, silky palate is almost like a Romanée-Saint-Vivant in texture, offering great depth and an energetic, peppery finish that lingers long in the mouth. A divine Musigny that will deserve some bottle age." - Neal Martin (Jan 2019)

92-94 Points - Allen Meadows' Burghound:
"An intensely earthy and animale nose of dark berries, plum, floral hints and cassis scents introduce textured, precise and brooding broad-shouldered flavors that brim with dry extract. This is a powerful yet supple Corton and like the Aux Cras this seems a bit friendlier and more accessible version compared to the reserve that I typically encounter here, in fact despite the fact that this will need every bit of 15 years to arrive at its peak drinkability, this will probably not be unduly difficult young." - (Jan 14, 2013)

91 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"Bright, dark red. Reticent, slightly medicinal aromas of cherry and peppery herbs, lifted by a floral high note. Surprisingly ripe and stuffed on the palate, conveying a captivating subtle sweetness to its red berry, spice and herb flavors. Shows the added thickness and density of the vintage without sacrificing energy. This nicely balanced, concentrated Volnay finishes with broad, fine-grained tannins and subtly building length. A good showing today, but this wine is also built to age." - Stephen Tanzer (Jan 2018)

92-95 Points - Allen Meadows' Burghound:
"There is a subtle whiff of exoticism to the elegant and ultra-fresh aromas of honeysuckle, tangerine skin, pear compote and spice. Once again there is a terrific sense of energy to the racy, intense and gorgeously refined middle weight flavors that culminate in a highly refined, balanced and sneaky long finale. This is textbook Pucelles that should age effortlessly." - (Jun 15, 2018)

93 Points - James Suckling:
"A beautiful and complex red with flowers, dark fruits, citrus and spice character. Full body, firm tannins and a bright finish. Tight and dense. Seamless and very pretty. A nice blend of different vineyards of Corton. Better in 2017." - (June 17, 2015)

Antonio Galloni's Vinous Media:
"Bright medium red, a bit darker than the Gevrey-Chambertin Clos du Château. Darker, spicier and more complex on the nose, conveying a suggestion of Brochon power. A step up in energy and clarity as well, offering lovely density and cut to its raspberry and spice flavors. Finishes classically dry, firmly structured and long. As impressive an early showing as I can recall for this village wine chez Rousseau." - Stephen Martin (Jan 2017)

94-97 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous Media:
"Saturated ruby-red. Aromatic and very pure but restrained on the nose, offering high-pitched aromas of dark raspberry, black cherry, flowers, spices and minerals. Impressively concentrated and dense yet light on its feet, with its very intense flavors of dark fruits, spices and flowers enlivened by saline tension. Almost painful in the middle palate in the early going, this wine finishes with firm but suave tannins and outstanding lingering perfume. Méo did not add SO2 in the fermenter because this wine often has "reduction issues." With its fruit of steel, this beauty should enjoy a long life in bottle." - Stephen Tanzer (Jan 2018)
