94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The concentrated but elegant 2012 Château Chalon is what Château Chalon should be, with a nice entry and a long palate, combining power and elegance. There is a lot of focus on Château Chalon from Damien, and he is starting to make different bottlings from different soils in the appellation like Stéphane Tissot started doing a few years ago; he will be able to make this in different bottlings starting with the 2016 vintage." - Luis Gutiérrez (28th Jun 2019)

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2006 Marsala Superiore Riserva Semisecco Targa 1840 (packaged in a 500-milliliter bottle) is a pure expression of Grillo. This wine shows a delicate and finessed side of this powerful, fortified wine. This Marsala opens to a dark amber color with dark copper highlights. The bouquet is dry with fig, prune and exotic spice. You get hints of church incense and Spanish cedar. This is a balanced, full-bodied Marsala with 19% alcohol. It ages in large oak casks for nine long years. Some 40,000 bottles were produced." - Monica Larner (28th Dec 2018)

"An ashy smoke note leads the way in this full-bodied, aromatic red, with chewy tannins forming a dense frame to which flavors of black cherry coulis, licorice, cured tobacco and ground pepper are tightly knit. Grippy finish. Best after 2023. 100 cases imported." - AN

Notes from the Winemaker:
Dry white wine named after its appellation, Mád village, which is surrounded by vineyards known among the best growing areas of the Tokaji wine region. This unoaked, lively white wine is produced from Furmint variety, which is able to express perfectly the minerality of the terroir of Mád. The refreshing acidity is driving the citrusy palate, with a touch of volcanic minerality in the finish.

"Tangerine dream but also all kinds of berries and some wild herbs make this an irresistible wine. Then comes the stunning balance of aromatic sweetness and vibrant acidity with a finish that's like a waterfall cascading over rocks in the tropics. Should continue to impress through through 2050." - (2 Aug, 2017)

It is rare to find a very mature Classed Sauternes for such a price. This Chateau has been quietly producing classic stickies alongside its more famous neighbors. Oak aged, and very lightly filtered, this would be a temendous birthday bottle. more info

93 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Offers layers of macerated date, ganache, warm caraway, buckwheat honey and chocolate-covered orange peel notes, with a deep, intense finish that lets a wonderfully smoky hint curl through. The power is obvious, the range and definition more subtle. Drink now. 2,500 cases made." - JM (Issue Oct 31, 2013)
