91 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"This Santa Cruz Mountains-based winery has been making a value-driven Edna Valley Chardonnay since 1985, and this one does not disappoint, Pungent aromas of lemon oil and orange pith are rounded by seared white peach, crushed sand and smoke on the nose, while the zesty palate delivers more stone fruit, bright lemon, toasty oak and solid tannic tension." - Matt Kettmann (12/1/2018)

Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Fogarty’s basic Pinot Noir is very good, although it’s not a wine for aging. With its soft dryness and rich tannins, it shows polished flavors of cherries, cola, herbs, cinnamon spice and subtle oak." — S.H. (6/1/2011)

Windy Oaks Estate was founded by Jim and Judy Schultze on 15 acres of vineyard located at 1,000 feet on a ridge overlooking the town of Corralitos and the Monterey Bay. Grapes for their Windy Oaks Whites are sourced from neighboring vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountain Appellation and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Almost all their grapes come from above the fog line and practices are very Burgundian, with non-interventionist winemaking,

Crisp and fruity, with hints of apple, some pineapple and white peach notes.

94 Points - James Suckling (2015 Vintage):
"As you’d expect, this blend of 81 per cent cabernet sauvignon and 16 per cent merlot, the rest petit verdot and cabernet franc, is really a statement of cabernet sauvignon with blackcurrant, redcurrant, forest-bark, cedar and tobacco aromas. The palate has powerful cabernet tannins, bolstered with cedary oak punch. The fruit is fresh and tightly wound for now. Needs time. Try this from 2022." - (January 7, 2019)
