88-91 Points - Allen Meadows' Burghound:
"A fresh and notably ripe nose still manages to convey reasonably good typicity on the mix of white and yellow orchard fruit scents. The rich and attractively textured medium weight flavors possess good punch and persistence where a note of salinity helps to add a sense of lift." - (Oct 10, 2019)

92 Points - Vinous:
"The 2015 Rosso di Montalcino Rossofonte is a serious wine that captures the essence of the Ciacci style, but is naturally more approachable than the estate's Brunellos. Wild cherry, tobacco, cedar, mint and lavender infuse the Rosso with striking layers of nuance. Far from an easygoing wine, the 2015 packs a real punch, making it a great choice for the dinner table, where it will be exquisite with similarly rich foods. " Antonio Galloni - (Oct 2019)

Notes from the Winemaker:
The 2019 Moscato Azul is a very pale white-gold hue, with intense, pure aromas of tropical fruit and elderflower-jasmine floral character. Mouthwatering and bright across the palate, with flavors of white peach, pineapple, lime zest, and lychee with a touch of minerality. It has medium weight, good complexity with an evolving finish, and an understated elegance reminiscent of the classic white wines of Alsace. Drink now or over the next few years!

94 Points - Vinous Media:
"The 2016 Barolo Castiglione is a dazzling wine that will show readers just how compelling this vintage is, even among entry-level wines from top producers. Rich, ample and explosive, the 2016 possesses tremendous richness and resonance from the very first taste. Bright red cherry and red plum fruit, wild flowers, mint, blood orange and spice build as this sumptuous, dramatic Barolo shows all it's got. As always, the Castiglione is built on a core of fruit from Ravera. In 2016, the Castiglione benefits from the inclusion of several new sites, including Ginestra, Mosconi, Bricco Ravera (in Monforte), Le Coste, Costabelle, Meriame, Briccolina and Codana. All I can say is: What a wine!" - Antonio Galloni (Feb 2020)

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2016 Vintage):
"Luca Currado likes to remind me that this wine could qualify as a full-fledged Barolo. Barrels not used in the final Barolo Castiglione blend are used to make the 2016 Langhe Nebbiolo Perbacco. In fact, its very name “Perbacco” translates into a somewhat corny “golly gosh” because that was the reaction Luca’s mom had when she first tasted the wine and was told it was not a Barolo. “Perbacco, it tastes like Barolo,” was her comment—and a legend was born. The Vietti family, along with Bartolo Mascarello and Dott G Cappellano back in the day, had battled for some variation of a Rosso di Barolo in the appellation laws. That never happened, but Langhe Nebbiolo is a concept that follows that same idea: you get great Nebbiolo quality at a fraction of the price. Today, Langhe Nebbiolo is one of the fastest-growing categories in the entire wine region. This beautiful vintage, with its balanced fruit and freshness, is a perfect example." - Monica Larner (28th Jun 2019)

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"After its malolactic fermentation in small wood casks and a year in botte grande, the totally unfiltered 2017 Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne shows up as soft, immediate and rich, with nice little chocolate notes around the borders. Impressively, the various parcels of vines for this wine are all in the middle of the prestigious Barolo appellation. The word around the estate is that 2016 was a better vintage, but this was an attractive expression in itself and would be a hearty companion to any hearty pasta dish. About 28,000 bottles were made." - Monica Larner (28th Jun 2019)

96 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The Gianni Brunelli Le Chiuse di Sotto team is on a roll, and these last few vintages have really hit it out of the ballpark. Their latest release, the charming 2015 Brunello di Montalcino, is one of the stars of the vintage. This wine exudes the warmth and sheer exuberance of the growing season, which was beautifully warm and sunny. Yet it also stays true to the promise of Montalcino that strives for elegance, poise and longevity. This is a classic interpretation that offers a very precise and pure window onto the Sangiovese grape, with its tight aromas of wild cherry, medical herb and pressed blue flowers. The wine is a blend of fruit from both sides of Montalcino, the north side and the southeast. Between the two sites you get a mix of schist, sand, clay, tufo and Galestro soil. That's pretty much the whole rainbow from the appellation. Some 16,846 bottles were made (not including large-format bottles), and the wine was released in January 2020." - Monica Larner (31st Jan 2020)
