93 Points - Vinous Media:
"More proof that younger Calvados have a purity and depth missing from many unaged spirts. Three years old, and greenish-yellow in color, this brandy has a gregarious nose, with aromas of apple pie and even pineapple turnover. But on the palate, there is both juicy acidity and an overarching roundness, still at the relatively high alcohol level. Fresh, dry, truly drinkable, both neat and in cocktails. A great value. (AOC Pays d’Auge, 44% abv.)" - Jason Wilson (November 2018)

Aged in 225-liter barrels for 12 months, the result is an ambrosia with a deep color and notes of baked apple, vanilla, nuts and spices entwined within a rich, honeyed texture.  At 17% alcohol, it is delicious as a nightcap or with apple and other fruit-based desserts.  Think of this as an apple tawny port that will work with pies and tarts commonly found on the table during the holiday season. more info

92 Points - Vinous Media:
"An average of seven years old, Manoir de Montreuil Réserve includes some brandies up to 20 years old in the blend. Light golden in color, the nose is full of baking spices, which carries through the palate, along with honey, vanilla, and apple strudel. The overall flavor is subtle, with a note of chalky minerality on the finish. Like the Sélection, this is very drinkable, but the younger expression has a bit more liveliness and verve. Still a good value. (AOC Pays d’Auge, 42% abv.)" - Jason Wilson (November 2018)

"Solid, good-value 10-year-old from Grande Champagne. Golden in color, offering bright, warm notes of apricot, plum and orange peel, with toasted oak, baking spice and bit of toffee coming on the palate. But the overall effect is light and lean. (40% abv)" - Jason Wilson (September 2019)

Tasting Notes:
Distilled from 100% Folle Blanche, this unaged Armagnac is oily in texture, extremely fruity, with a slightly sweet finish. Useful in exploring new directions for brandy and pisco based cocktails, or chilled as a palate cleanser between fish and meat courses, known in France as a “Trou Gascon.”
