96 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"Coming from the highest point in the Boushey vineyard and a mix of Syrah clones, the 2016 Motor City Kitty Old Field Boushey Vineyard was fermented all in concrete (no destemming) and brought up in neutral oak. Game, olives, white pepper, and darker fruits all emerge from this Côte Rôtie look-alike. With medium to full-bodied richness and a layered texture, it’s one of the greatest values out there, so if you see a bottle, you should buy it." - Jeb Dunnuck (4/11/2019)

"The Mourvèdre-dominated 2016 Gratitude Blend (there’s 25% Grenache and 5% Syrah) is a flat-out awesome wine as well as possibly the greatest expression of the variety to come out of Washington State. Beautiful notes of black and blue fruits, dried earth, peppery spice, and loads of floral and rose petal notes all flow to a full-bodied red that has an incredible sense of elegance and purity as well as richness and depth. It’s great today and will be great in a decade." - Jeb Dunnuck (4/11/2019)

Full-bodied, rich, and concentrated, it has silky tannins and shows surprising elegance and finesse on the palate. It’s a “Wow” wine that should be snatched up by readers." - Jeb Dunnuck (4/11/2019)

"In the running for the best Grenache from Washington, the 2016 Grenache The Boy Powerline Vineyard is a single vineyard release from a site in the Walla Walla Valley and was brought up in neutral oak. It has a Rayas-like perfume of rose petals, black raspberries, cherries, spice, and smoked meat. This carries to a medium to full-bodied, thrilling textured, seamless Grenache that has a stacked mid-palate, no hard edges, and a great, great finish. Hats off to the team at K Vintners for this incredible Grenache!" - Jeb Dunnuck (4/11/2019)

94 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"The 2014 Pinot Noir Las Orillas is deep and strikingly resonant, with attractive tobacco, earthiness and savory notes that add layers of nuance to the intense bold Pinot fruit. The 2014 was done with a generous amount of whole clusters, but that is not especially evident. This is a gorgeous wine from Mattias Pippig." - Antonio Galloni (Sep 2018)

"On a whole other level, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Mise en Place is unquestionably the star of the show here and checks in as 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Merlot brought up in 50% new French oak. It reveals a healthy purple color as well as a ripe, sexy bouquet of plums, black cherries, charcuterie, and leafy herbs. With medium to full-bodied richness, ripe tannin, and a mouthfilling texture, it’s a seamless Oakville Cabernet that can be drunk today or cellared for 10-15 years." - Jeb Dunnuck (1/31/2019)

"One of the gems in the lineup as well as in the vintage is the 2015 Bossman. Made from a mix of Syrah, Grenache, Viognier, and Petite Sirah aged 25 months in 60% new oak, its vivid ruby/purple color is followed by a huge perfume of blueberries, bacon fat, black olives, and smoked herbs. It’s deep, full-bodied, layered, and multi-dimensional on the palate, with no hard edges and a sensational finish. Hats off to winemaker Matthias Pippig for this awesome Santa Barbara County blend!" - (10/15/2018)

98 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"From the same vines planted in 1905, the 2015 Orion is a bigger, richer wine compared to the 2014 yet offers similarly awesome notes of black and blue fruits, scorched earth, bay leaf, ground pepper, lavender, and violets. Showing hints of chocolate and mint with time in the glass, this medium to full-bodied, multi-dimensional effort has no hard edges, incredible depth and intensity, and is just a brilliant, brilliant wine that needs to be tasted to be believed. It needs a decant if drinking any time soon yet will cruise for two decades in cool cellars. This is magical stuff." - Jeb Dunnuck (1/31/2019)
Leonetti Cellar Reserve Walla Walla Valley 2016 (Columbia Valley, Washington) - [JD 99] [WS 95]
Leonetti Cellar Reserve Walla Walla Valley 2016 (Columbia Valley, Washington) - [JD 99] [WS 95]
Retail Price: $195.00
Artisan Wine Depot Price: $169.97
You save $25.03!

CASE PRICE = $159.99 per bottle (add 12+ quantity to your basket)

99 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"The 2016 Reserve is similar in color (it might be even inkier at the rim) and is a blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Malbec, and 5% Cabernet Franc that spent 22 months in a mix of 75% new and 25% once-used French oak barrels. It offers sensational notes of crème de cassis, graphite, crushed rocks, smoke tobacco, and perfectly integrated oak. These all flow to a ripe, powerful, yet seamless and incredibly elegant wine that has nothing out of place, building tannins, awesome purity of fruit, and a massive finish. Reminding me of the 2010, yet made in a more elegant style, this magical wine is drinkable today but will benefit for 4-5 years of bottle age and keep for 3-4 decades. Hats off to Chris Figgins for another awe-inspiring wine." - Jeb Dunnuck (4/11/2019)
