"Made by Laura Diaz (formerly at Lokoya) and coming mostly from valley floor fruit, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Pleinair is a sexy, flamboyant beauty that boasts a deep purple color, a huge nose of cassis and blueberry fruits, a complex floral character, full body, and a pure, elegant, yet pleasure-bent style that’s already a joy to drink." - Jeb Dunnuck (1/2019)

"Monastrell from their own old, non-irrigated vines fermented in stainless steel and matured in French oak barrels for around 12 months. This is the first vintage that is certified organic. There were some challenges, but they resulted in a fresh and balanced wine with integrated oak and a juicy and round palate. They have introduced optical sorting of the grapes, and perhaps that's why there is more precision and purity. They cannot do manual sorting at this price point, but optical sorting seems like a good alternative. 2018 is a more difficult vintage than the 2017, yet this wine is better, juicier and seems to absorb the oak better, with just a smoky touch that reminded me somehow of a Northern Rhône. Really impressive." (LG) (9/2020)

90 Points - James Suckling:
"This juicy and vibrant, summer-berry and wild-cherry nose leads to a very plush and deep-set palate with a sleek, juicy and attractive feel. So vibrant." (7/2019)

95 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"Checking in as 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Merlot all from the Alden Park Vineyard in the Alexander Valley, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Innovant saw an extended maceration and aging in 40% new French oak. It has a terrific nose of blue and black fruits as well as classic Cabernet tobacco, bay leaf, violets, graphite, and crushed rock-like minerality. Rich and concentrated on the palate, yet light on its feet and elegant, this thrillingly pure Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon will evolve for 15-20 years or more." - Jeb Dunnuck, May 2020

"Ripe and juicy, with a forward profile of dark plum and blackberry fruit backed by hints of anise, mocha and singed vanilla. A flash of savory in the background keeps this honest."

98-100 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Composed of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Cabernet Franc, 9% Petit Verdot and 6% Merlot, the deep garnet-purple 2018 Proprietary Red has a fantastically fragrant nose of candied violets, red roses, Morello cherries and blackcurrant pastilles with hints of wild blueberries, red currant jelly, iron ore and forest floor, plus a waft of cinnamon stick. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is completely packed with tightly wound black and red berry layers, framed by firm, ripe, finely grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with incredibly persistent and evocative floral and mineral layers. An absolute head-turner, this 2018 is all that and then some. Tim Mondavi mentioned that this is due to be bottled in just a few weeks—mid-August—meaning this barrel sample I tasted is pretty close to being a finished wine. With the estate vineyard turning 10 year's old in 2018, here's where we see how incredibly special this singular Pritchard Hill site really is." -LPB (6th Aug 2020)

"This is made from grapes grown at Three Palms Vineyard, alongside other valley floor and mountain fruit, including 10% Merlot and smaller percentages of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Smooth, lush and robust in dark cherry and plum, it's fruit forward and full bodied, with considerable ripeness." - Virginie Boone (9/1/2018)

"The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Vin is another Bordeaux look-alike (Latour?) with its density, structure, and regal style. It offers blackcurrant, graphite, crushed rock, and lead pencil shaving aromas and flavors and is full-bodied, supple, and seamless on the palate, with building yet perfectly polished tannins. Showing the polished, elegant style of the estate, flawless balance, and a great, great finish, it's going to keep for 30-40 years." (January 2020)

100 Points & #1 of Best Wines of Chile 2020 - James Suckling:
"This is amazing. The vibrancy and energy in this wine is stunning. The complexity of aromas are breathtaking with flowers, blackcurrants, raspberries and peaches. Full-bodied, yet ever so refined and polished with impeccable texture and beauty. The length is marvelous. This is a testimony to balance, harmony and transparency in a great red. Drink after 2023." - ( Jan 26, 2021)

"Aromas of exotic spice, baked plum and French oak mingle with camphor and blue flower on the nose. This boasts extraordinary elegance and freshness despite the hot vintage, delivering flavors of juicy Marasca cherry, spiced blueberry, tobacco and licorice. Velvety, fine-grained tannins provide support while coffee and crushed mint linger on the finish. Drink 2022–2032." - KK (7/1/2020)

95 Points & #94 Top 100 Wines of 2019 - Wine Spectator:
"Ripe and vivid, with a stream of boysenberry, black currant and plum fruit racing along in lockstep, while anise, sage and singed tobacco notes fill in. The finish is underscored by graphite-edged grip, showing good latent energy. Powerful and pure. Best from 2021 through 2035. 342 cases made." —JM

96 Points - Vinous:
"Favia's 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville is wonderfully vivid and alive in the glass. Black cherry, plum, tobacco, leather, smoke, licorice and grilled herbs infuse this potent, savory Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium in body and yet full of bold flavors, the 2016 has so much to offer. Today it is deep, vivid and supremely balanced, with all of the character it showed from barrel. " Antonio Galloni - (Dec 2018)
