94 Points - Vinous:
"The 2016 Clonal Selection Elgin Syrah is a blend of around eight parcels, all individually micro-vinified and matured with varying levels of new oak, from zero up to 70%. Limpid in the glass, it has a glorious, pure bouquet of red currant, raspberry and mulberry scents that are seductive and very Burgundian – think Vosne-Romanée! The palate is rounded on the entry, offering lively red berry fruit laced with white pepper, fennel and a subtle charcoal note. There is a slight grittiness toward the finish, which is well structured and persistent. This is both a delicious and an intellectual Syrah. " Neal Martin - (Nov 2019)

93-95 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Stereotypical Oz Shiraz to some extent, the 2016 William Randell Shiraz is big, ripe and heavily accented by American oak. Cedar and vanilla notes blend with rich, plummy fruit, those sweet notes brought together and balanced by savory dry tannins. It's a big-ass steak wine, one that will be appreciated by consumers at steakhouses around the world." - Joe Czerwinski (31st Aug 2018)

89 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"An overt, fruit-driven wine, with a bold mix of açaí berry, plum, blueberry and raspberry fruit, all wrapped in licorice and fruitcake notes. The polished, open finish lets the fruit play out. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Zinfandel and Merlot. Drink now through 2021. 7,282 cases made." - JM

96 Points & #21 Top 100 Wines of 2019 - Wine Spectator:
"Dark and winey, this is youthfully tight, with a core of intense black cherry and black currant preserves, encased within layers of olive, singed alder, juniper and iron. Very focused and driven through the finish. Cellar for maximum effect. Best from 2022 through 2038. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 23,333 cases made, 700 cases imported." - JM (Nov 15, 2019)

97 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"The finest wine to date from this young estate (although it’s made by unquestionably one of the finest winemakers out there), the 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape is 100% Grenache sourced all from the sandy parts of the La Crau and Font du Loup lieux-dits. It got more than a few “Wows” in the notes and boasts a medium ruby color, heavenly notes of framboise, crushed flowers, and spice, full body, ultra-fine tannins, and an insane mix of power and elegance that’s hard to describe. It’s going to knock your socks off over the coming 15+ years." - Jeb Dunnuck (8/28/2018)

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Somehow Roger Sabon has captured joy in the bottle. His 2016 Lirac by Roger Sabon boasts subtle spice and vanilla shadings upfront, then elevates the mood with easy-to-drink ripe cherry fruit that's concentrated yet never seems heavy on the palate. This medium to full-bodied wine is lush and fun to drink, ending with softly dusty tannins that lend a welcome savory edge to the long finish. It should drink well for close to a decade." - Joe Czerwinski (31st Oct 2017)

"This blend of 32% Syrah, 25% Zinfandel, 20% Malbec, 19% Petit Verdot and 4% Petite Sirah offers aromas of iodine, tar, black pepper and cassis. There is a tarry texture to the palate, where a ripe black-currant backdrop is spiced by savory sea salt and pepper dust." - Matt Kettmann (6/1/2019)

96 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"I was blown away by the four Syrahs that Eric Sussman is producing. One of two prodigious Syrahs include the 2013 Syrah Dusty Lane. This comes from John Alban’s clonal selections, probably accessed from Chave or Chapoutier Hermitage vineyards in France. Utilizing 38% whole-clusters, bottled unfined and unfiltered, this is a killer Syrah. Opaque purple in color, with notes of steak tartare, blackberry, cassis, camphor and melted asphalt, this wine is full-bodied, super-majestic, multidimensional, and just a fabulous, rich, savory offering with moderate tannin. It will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring and drink well for 15-20 years. It’s a compelling Syrah from Eric Sussman." - 221, The Wine Advocate (29th Oct 2015)

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2014 Syrah Dusty Lane comes from another Sonoma Coast vineyard planted in Goldridge soils, this one south-facing. Sussman used 39% whole clusters and aged the wine 21 months in 20% new French oak before bottling it unfined and unfiltered. This is a big St.-Joseph/Crozes-Hermitage style of Syrah from California, with a dense purple color and a big, sweet kiss of damp earth, ground pepper, steak tartare, black olive tapenade, blackberry and cassis. It is layered, full-bodied, juicy, and stunningly rich and long. This is a killer and should drink nicely for 10-15 years." - Robert M. Parker, Jr. (28th Oct 2016)

93 Points - Vinous:
"Radio-Coteau's 2015 Syrah Dusty Lane is a dense, powerful wine. Tobacco, dried herbs, spice and leather add aromatic nuance to this decidedly potent, brooding wine. The 2015 seems to have firmed up quite a bit since I last tasted it. That is probably a good thing for its long-term longevity, but there is not a whole lot of early appeal here. " Antonio Galloni - (Apr 2018)
